Alone at 290 and with alliance at 100, Congress’s strategy is ready

New Delhi: A round of meetings has started in the Congress Party regarding preparations for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. During this time, an internal meeting of the alliance committee of Congress was held, in which the party has decided to contest the elections alone on the strong 290 seats.

Also, it has been advised to start the process for selection of candidates on these seats. According to internal sources of the party, the party has started the process of selecting candidates on the traditionally strong seats of Congress across the country.

Congress party wants to contest elections alone on about 290 seats. Whereas about 100 seats want to fight with allies. The Congress party is hopeful that it will get around 100 seats in the alliance. This means that the Congress Party is making a strategy to contest elections on a total of 390 seats.

Apart from 290 traditional seats, work has been started to speed up candidate selection for other seats also. At the same time, Congress will contest elections alone in almost all the states and union territories of the North-East. Congress is making a strategy to fight alone in 10 states and in alliance in 9 states.

It is making a strategy to contest elections on its own in Gujarat, Haryana, Assam, Andhra, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Himachal, Karnataka, Kerala, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Uttarakhand and Odisha.

The strategy is to fight with possible alliance parties on the remaining seats. Congress 5 in Delhi, 9 to 10 in Bihar, 8 to 9 in Punjab, 9 to 11 in Tamil Nadu, 10 to 15 seats in UP, 3 to 5 in West Bengal, 3 in Kashmir, 9 in Jharkhand and 24 to 26 in Maharashtra. Preparing to fight for seats.
