Mirzapur. In Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh, acting on the basis of secret information, the police have arrested three smugglers of the inter-state gang involved in illegal drug smuggling.
319 kg of illegal ganja was recovered from the possession of the accused. Police has also seized the truck being used for smuggling marijuana.
According to the information received, in a joint action by SOG, surveillance team and Kachwan police station, the accused have been arrested from Kachwan area.
Mirzapur’s Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Santosh Mishra said that the SOG, surveillance team and Kachwanthana police team have done a commendable job while conducting a joint operation.
Based on the information received from the informer, about 319 kg of ganja has been recovered from the possession of three members of the interstate gang, Alim, Ansar and Jaishankar Singh.
