Relief to AAP MLA Amanatullah in Delhi Waqf Board money laundering case, court grants bail

New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Amanatullah Khan has got a big relief. Actually, he is an accused in the Delhi Waqf Board money laundering case. His appearance was today in Rouse Avenue Court. He had appeared in the court in the case of summons issued by Rouse Avenue Court on the complaint of ED for not appearing on the summons of ED.

Giving relief, Rouse Avenue Court has granted bail to Amanatullah Khan on a personal bond of Rs 15,000.
Let us tell you that Amanatullah Khan is accused of irregularities in appointments in Delhi Waqf Board. Besides, a case of ‘huge proceeds of crime’ in cash is also registered against him. There are also allegations of earning cash through illegal appointments and purchasing immovable property in his name with this money.

Let us tell you that this matter is between 2018-2022. ED is interrogating the AAP MLA regarding these allegations.It is known that six summons were sent by ED to MLA Amanatullah Khan. Even after receiving the summons, Amanatullah Khan did not appear before the ED. An anticipatory bail petition was filed on his behalf in the Supreme Court, which was rejected by the court saying that no exemption can be given to you on the basis of being an MLA.
