New Delhi. The second procedure related to the Earth’s orbit of the country’s first Sun mission ‘Aditya L1’ was successfully completed early on Tuesday. The Indian Space Research Organization gave this information.
According to ISRO, the second orbit maneuver was carried out from the ISRO Telemetry, Tracking and Command Network at Bengaluru. The space agency posted on social media platform
ITRAC/ISRO centers in Mauritius, Bengaluru and Port Blair monitored the satellite during the mission. The new orbit achieved is 282 km x 40225 km.
ISRO said that the third procedure related to the Earth’s orbit of ‘Aditya L1’ is scheduled on September 10, 2023 at around 2.30 am Indian time.
‘Aditya L1’ is the first Indian space-based observatory, which will study the outer atmosphere of the Sun by staying in the first Sun-Earth Lagrangian point (L-1), located about 15 lakh kilometers from the Earth.
ISRO’s Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV-C57) successfully launched ‘Aditya L1’ from the second launch pad of Satish Dhawan Space Center (SDSC) in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh on September 2.
