The Tata Group-owned airline had said in February this year that it would buy a total of 470 aircraft, including widebody aircraft, from the two aircraft makers.
The order includes 34 A350-1,000, six A350-900, 20 Boeing 787 Dreamliner and 10 Boeing 777X widebody aircraft, 140 Airbus A320neo, 70 Airbus A321neo and 190 Boeing 737Max small-size aircraft, the airline said in a statement. aircraft are included.
The purchase agreement was signed on the sidelines of the Paris Air Show. Air India said that this agreement is the next step in the fleet expansion program of $ 70 billion (based on the list price) announced by it in February.
Air India will begin deliveries of new aircraft with the Airbus A350 later this year. The company said that most of the aircraft will start meeting from the middle of 2025.
