Prayagraj. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is coming on a one-day visit to Prayagraj on Friday, 30 June. CM Yogi Adityanath will hand over the keys to the allottees of 76 flats built on the land freed from the possession of mafia Atiq Ahmed during his visit.
76 flats have been built under Pradhan Mantri Urban Awas Yojana on 1731 square meters of land freed from the possession of Mafia Atiq Ahmed in the Lukganj area of the city. The allotment of 76 flats built in two 4-storey towers has also been done on 9th June.
CM Yogi himself will hand over the keys to the beneficiaries of these flats, called the dream project of CM Yogi Adityanath. The cost of a flat built under the Affordable Housing Scheme has come to six lakh rupees. While the central and state government is giving a subsidy of two and a half lakhs.
These flats have been allotted to the beneficiaries for only three lakh 50 thousand rupees. It is noteworthy that under Operation Mafia, 1731 square meters of government land in Lukarganj was freed from the possession of Mafia Atiq Ahmed.
In December 2020, CM Yogi Adityanath had announced to build shelters for the poor on this land in a meeting of advocates. After which, on December 26, 2021, CM Yogi Adityanath himself performed Bhoomi Pujan and laid the foundation stone of the plan to build houses for the poor.
Prayagraj Development Authority has completed the CM’s dream project in a record time of 18 months. People’s craze regarding these flats can be gauged from the fact that 6030 people had applied for these flats.
The applications were scrutinized from Duda. In which applications of 1590 applicants were found correct. A lottery was conducted on June 9 in the auditorium of Allahabad Medical Association among 1590 eligible people. Following the reservation rules of the state government in the lottery, flats have been allotted to 76 beneficiaries.
