Prayagraj. On Thursday, the Chief Justice of the Allahabad High Court gave its verdict on the petition filed by the Masjid Arrangement Committee against the ASI survey of Gyanvapi Masjid in a scientific manner.
Rejecting the petition of the Muslim side, the bench of Chief Justice Pritinkar Diwakar gave effect to the order of the ASI survey of the Varanasi district court.
Significantly, after the completion of the hearing on July 27, the court had reserved the verdict. The Muslim side Masjid Intezamia Committee challenged the Varanasi District Judge’s order of ASI survey on July 21 in the court.
After the verdict, Hindu side’s lawyer Vishnu Shankar Jain told the media that the Hon’ble High Court has given effect to the Varanasi district court’s decision rejecting the petition of the Muslim side.
He said that an affidavit has been filed on behalf of the ASI. On which the court said that there is no basis to doubt the affidavit of ASI.
Vishnu Shankar Jain told that the ASI survey can start today itself. ASI has said in his affidavit that if excavation is required, permission will be taken from the court.
Meanwhile, there is news that the Muslim side will appeal against the High Court’s decision in the Supreme Court. Maulana Khali Rasheed Farangi Mahali said that the mosque cannot be surveyed under the Worship Act of 1991.
