The prosecution has filed a complaint with the Union Home Ministry against the CBI officer who testified in defense of Mafia Atiq Ahmed. The prosecution has demanded action by complaining to the Personnel and Training Department of the Central Government through DM Prayagraj.

CBI officer Amit Kumar is accused of testifying in defense of Atiq in the Umesh Pal kidnapping case. Apart from this, he had also removed the name of Umesh Pal from the list of witnesses in the Raju Pal murder case. After removing Umesh Pal’s name from the list of witnesses, his statement was not even recorded in the case diary, whereas it was necessary to do so.

According to ADGC Sushil Kumar Vaish, after the Raju Pal murder case, the police had considered Umesh Pal as an eyewitness. After this, the CBCID also considered him as a witness. But he could not answer the questions of the prosecution in the court about Umesh Pal not being considered as a witness by CBI Deputy SP Amit Kumar.

Along with this, when the prosecution asked him why he did not record Umesh Pal’s statement in the case diary, he did not give a satisfactory answer. CBI Deputy SP Amit Kumar had said in his statement that Umesh Pal was not kidnapped at all.
