Washington. At least four people were killed and nine others injured in a shooting at a nightclub in Birmingham, US state of Alabama, late Saturday night, while three people, including a young child, were killed in a shooting outside a house in the city. Officials in Alabama gave this information.
Birmingham Police Department officer Truman Fitzgerald said in a video posted on social media that officers immediately responded to reports of several people being shot outside a nightclub at 11 pm. Birmingham Fire Brigade and Rescue personnel declared a man dead on the sidewalk near the nightclub. Fitzgerald said two women inside the club also died in the firing.
He said another person was declared dead at the University of Alabama Birmingham Hospital, where at least nine other victims were being treated for gunshot wounds. Fitzgerald said the victims were brought by emergency medical staff or reached the hospital themselves after the incident.
