Amit Shah’s special strategy worked… China-backed rebel group UNLF signed peace agreement in Manipur

New Delhi: Since independence, there have been armed movements in different states in the North-East. Under the guise of these demands, extremist organizations were born and they have been continuously fighting with the security forces deployed in the North-East using the force of arms.

In the last few years, on the initiative of Home Minister Amit Shah, many separatist armed organizations of the North-East have signed a peace agreement with the Indian government and have returned to the mainstream. In this series, China-backed United National Liberation Front signed an important peace agreement with the Indian government on Wednesday.

In fact, in the last few years, the Home Ministry has made many similar agreements with armed separatist organizations of the North-East. These agreements have been made only through the tireless efforts of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India.

The most recent case is the signing of the peace agreement by the United National Liberation Front. The background of this agreement was written 3 years ago. Senior UNLF leaders responded favorably to the Indian government’s proposal to join the mainstream for the first time in 2020. After which the talks with this organization progressed and it reached its conclusion on Wednesday.

With this agreement, more than 400 cadres with equal number of weapons are likely to initially join the peace process. There will be a significant impact on the security scenario of the state and the North East region. After this, armed cadres of other organizations have also expressed their inclination to join the peace process in the coming days.
