In the evening, hours after the news of his visit to the hospital surfaced, a photo of Amitabh Bachchan and his son Abhishek during the Indian Premier League (ISPL) match between Mumbai vs Tigers of Kolkata surfaced in a video circulated on social media. Bachchan is seen coming out of the stadium when someone from the crowd asks him about his health.
The actor is indicating with his hands that everything is fine. After this the man asked him, “How are you?” Everything is fine? On this, Bachchan said that “fake news” has come. In the afternoon, news started coming in which said that he had gone to Kokilaben Hospital for a routine checkup.
Other reports said that he was admitted to the hospital for angioplasty (a procedure to open blocked arteries and blood vessels) to clear a ‘blockage’ in his leg. It was also reported in some reports that he had undergone angioplasty for a blocked artery.
