1 terrorist killed in Baramulla, operation continues in Anantnag for the fourth consecutive day

Srinagar: A terrorist was killed this morning during an encounter with security forces in Uri sector of Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir. The area has been surrounded by security forces. There is a possibility that some more terrorists are hiding.

Meanwhile, the anti-terror operation of security forces in Kokarnag area of Anantnag district continues for the fourth consecutive day. Two to three terrorists are hiding in the forests.

Security forces are busy searching for them. Terrorists are being monitored through drones and bombings are being carried out to drive them out of their holes.

A Colonel, a Major of the Indian Army and a DSP of Jammu and Kashmir Police have been martyred in the anti-terrorist operation that started in Anantnag on September 13.

Terrorists are also firing from hiding in the forests, which makes it clear that they have sufficient quantity of arms and ammunition. Security forces are using heavy weapons and drones to flush out the terrorists hiding in the forests.

At least two terrorists, including a local Lashkar-e-Taiba operative identified as Uzair Khan, are suspected to be hiding in the forests.
