New Delhi.Anju, the Indian woman who made headlines for traveling to Pakistan to meet her Facebook friend Nasrullah and later marrying him, returned to the country from the Wagah border earlier this week. Anju is now known by the name Fatima after converting to Islam. On 29 November, he was interrogated by the intelligence unit of the Punjab Police before being allowed to board a flight to New Delhi.

During interrogation, Anju told the officers that she had converted to Islam and married Nasrullah. According to sources, however, she could not provide any proof of her marriage and she did not have any document related to her marriage. The biggest thing is that she also talked about her plan to take her children from her first marriage to Pakistan after divorcing her first husband Arvind, who lives in India.

Obviously, legally she can get the custody of her children only after divorce. The custody battle between Anju and her first husband involves legal issues. The fight could be complicated due to international laws, jurisdictional challenges and diplomatic relations between the two countries. Deciding which country has the legal authority to decide on custody matters can be challenging.

There are many factors to consider when deciding this case, including complex issues such as the children’s habitual residence, nationality, and where the divorce or separation proceedings were initiated. Cultural norms and religious practices can influence custody decisions in both countries. Courts can take into account the best interests of the child when considering cultural factors.

Both parties may need legal experts familiar with international family law to deal with the complexities of the legal systems in both countries. Enforcing custody orders across international borders can be challenging due to differences in legal systems and cooperation between countries.
