Big News: ED arrested Arvind Kejriwal after long interrogation in CM House

New Delhi. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate on Thursday night. After a long interrogation in the money laundering case related to Delhi liquor scam, the investigating agency arrested Kejriwal from CM House.

Even before this, ED had seized Kejriwal’s mobile phone, after which he was arrested after interrogation. According to ED sources, Kejriwal was not cooperating in the investigation.Amid rumors of CM’s arrest, a large number of Aam Aadmi Party workers protested outside his house. Ministers Atishi and Saurabh were also present there. Considering the seriousness of the matter, a large number of police forces were deployed on the spot.

Delhi Police had also imposed Section 144 outside the CM House. A large number of police forces were deployed. Apart from this, Rapid Action Force was also deployed outside Arvind Kejriwal’s house. The police are taking the protesting Aam Aadmi Party workers from the spot in a bus.

Earlier on Thursday morning, the Delhi High Court had refused to stay Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal from arrest in the money laundering case related to the liquor scam. A bench of Justices Suresh Kumar Kait and Manoj Jain listed Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Kejriwal’s application regarding the request for further consideration on April 22.

The bench said, “We have heard both the sides and we are not inclined to grant protection at this stage. The defendant is free to file a reply.The application for interim relief is part of Kejriwal’s plea challenging the Enforcement Directorate (ED) summons issued to him for questioning. Kejriwal has moved the court in view of the ninth summons issued by the ED. In the ninth summons, Kejriwal was asked to appear on Thursday.
