New Delhi: ED has called Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for questioning today i.e. on 2 February in the Delhi liquor scam case. Suspense remains on whether Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will appear before the ED today or not.
However, the stir has intensified in Delhi. Meanwhile, there is news that Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convenor Arvind Kejriwal is unlikely to appear before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Friday for questioning in the money laundering case related to Delhi Excise Policy.
Actually, ED i.e. Enforcement Directorate had issued a new and fifth summons to Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday. Earlier in the last four months, he had avoided four summons by the federal agency.
However, the Aam Aadmi Party has remained silent about whether Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will appear before the investigating agency today. Party sources said that this time also there is a possibility of the summons being postponed.
Arvind Kejriwal has avoided the summons issued to him to appear before the ED on November 2, December 21 last year and January 3 and January 18 this year. Aam Aadmi Party has said that its legal team is studying the summons issued to Kejriwal in connection with the excise policy related to the money laundering case.
Meanwhile, Arvind Kejriwal, along with Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, is going to take part in the protest outside the BJP headquarters on Friday in protest against the alleged rigging in the Chandigarh Mayor elections.
