New Delhi: Atishi, who is on an indefinite hunger strike over the Delhi water crisis, has fallen ill. After her health deteriorated, Delhi’s Water Minister Atishi was admitted to the hospital early on Tuesday morning.The Aam Aadmi Party informed that she has been admitted to LNJP Hospital.
The Aam Aadmi Party claims that Atishi’s blood sugar level dropped due to the hunger strike. She is currently admitted to the emergency ICU.The Aam Aadmi Party posted on Instagram that Water Minister Atishi has been admitted to the emergency ICU (Intensive Care Unit) of Lok Nayak (LNJP) Hospital.
The Aam Aadmi Party said, ‘Water Resources Minister Atishi’s health deteriorated. Her sugar level dropped to 43 at midnight and 36 at 3 am, after which the doctors of LNJP Hospital advised to admit her to the hospital immediately.’Aam Aadmi Party said, ‘She has not eaten anything for the last five days and she is on an indefinite fast demanding the Haryana government to release Delhi’s share of water. She has been admitted to the emergency ICU of LNJP.
We pray for her speedy recovery.’ Let us tell you that Atishi started the fast on 21 June. Today was the fifth day of the fast. She is fasting over the water crisis. She is demanding water to be released for Delhi.
