Bengaluru: A blast took place at Rameshwaram Cafe in Whitefield area of Bengaluru on March 1. New revelations are continuously being made in this matter. A suspect in the cafe blast, which took place at 12.56 pm on March 1, was seen in CCTV footage at the Ballari bus stand at 8.58 pm, almost eight hours after the blast.
On Wednesday, March 6, five days after the blast, four people from the ‘ISIS module’ located in Ballari have been detained. According to the information received, the arrested accused are Minaj alias Mohammad Suleman, 26; Anas Iqbal Shaikh, 23; Shayan Rehman alias Hussain, 26; And 19-year-old Syed Sameer has been detained for three days for investigation.
Police sources said the cafe blast suspect, whose escape route was traced through CCTV footage, traveled in two inter-state government buses to Ballari and then traveled to another undisclosed location. CCTV on the route shows him boarding a Volvo bus (KA 47 F 4517) from a bus stop located very close to that cafe.
Sources said the suspect changed clothes about 3 km away from the café, where he removed the baseball cap and shirt he was wearing and changed into a casual T-shirt. Police sources said the baseball cap was recovered from the scene. has been recovered and it is an important evidence in the case.
The suspect was also seen in CCTV footage on a government bus leaving around 3 pm on the day of the blast from the outskirts of Bengaluru for Tumkur, located about 60 km from the city. Sources said that the pictures of the suspect without a hat and in new clothes were captured in the camera installed in the bus. It is believed that he had alighted from the bus on his way to Tumkur.
