Anushka Sharma’s difficulties increased, no relief from Bombay High Court in tax case

Mumbai: Anushka’s name has been in constant headlines for a case between Sales Tax notices 2012-13 and 2013-14. Some time ago, Anushka had filed four petitions against the sales tax notice in the Bombay High Court under the MVAT Act in this regard, but Anushka has not got any relief in this matter.

Bombay High Court refused to give relief to Anushka Sharma. The court set aside the disputed order issued by the State Sales Tax Department under the Maharashtra Value Added Tax Act for the assessment year 2012-16.

A bench of Justices Nitin Jamdar and Abhay Ahuja while giving the verdict said that the actress can file an appeal against the verdict under the Maharashtra Value Added Tax Act.

Anushka Sharma has filed a petition in the Bombay High Court, disputing the orders of the Mazagon Sales Tax deputy under the Maharashtra Value Added Tax Act for 2012-13 and 2013-14.

The actress has filed four petitions under the law, challenging four tax orders issued by the Sales Tax Department for the assessment years 2012-13, 2013-14, 2014-15 and 2015-16.
