Mumbai. Lalita Lajmi, sister of noted artist and Indian writer late Guru Dutt, passed away at the age of 90. Lalita Lajmi played a small role in Aamir Khan’s film Taare Zameen Par.
Many Bollywood actors have mourned the death of Lalita. On the death of Lalita Lajmi, all her works have been remembered. Lalita’s father was also a poet. And the mother was also a fan of literature. Lalita Lajmi also loved classical music.
Jehangir Nicholson Art Foundation shared the news of Lalita Lajmi’s demise on social media. Sharing an old picture of Lalita and her creation, she wrote in the caption, “We are deeply saddened by the news of the demise of artist Lalita Lajmi.” Lajmi was a self-taught artist with a keen interest in classical dance.
