New Delhi. A big reshuffle has been seen in the central government on Thursday. While changing the portfolios of two ministers, the Central Government appointed Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Arjun Ram Meghwal as Law Minister in place of Kiren Rijiju.
Rijiju has been given the charge of the Ministry of Earth Sciences. This information was given in a release issued by Rashtrapati Bhavan. It was said that on the advice of the Prime Minister, the President has re-allocated portfolios to the members of the Union Council of Ministers.
Accordingly, Rijiju has been given the charge of the Ministry of Earth Sciences and in his place Meghwal has been given the charge of Minister of State in the Ministry of Law and Justice, in addition to his existing portfolios.
Along with changing the ministry, Kiren Rijiju has also changed his Twitter profile. Now his profile reads, ‘Minister of Earth Sciences, India… Member of Parliament, Arunachal Pradesh.’
