Haryana: Ban on sale and use of firecrackers in Gurugram

Gurugram. Due to increasing pollution in Gurugram, Haryana, a ban has been imposed on the sale and use of firecrackers. District DC Nishant Kumar Yadav has issued orders to ban the storage, sale and use of firecrackers in Gurugram district to control the increasing pollution. .

In the orders issued, e-commerce companies like Flipkart, Amazon etc. have been prohibited from accepting any online order of firecrackers. District Magistrate Nishant Kumar Yadav, using the powers conferred on him on the basis of Section 144 of CrPC, has banned the sale of firecrackers in the district.

Regarding production, storage and sale, orders have been issued under the Explosive Substances Act 1884 and Explosive Substances Rules 2008.In the order issued by the District Magistrate, the responsibility of ensuring compliance with the rules has also been given to Gurugram Police, Municipal Corporation Gurugram and Manesar.

Police station in-charge, Municipal Corporation officials, Block Development and Panchayat officers and Tehsildar will coordinate with each other in their respective areas and get these orders strictly implemented.

All officers implementing the orders have been instructed to send daily compliance reports to the Deputy Commissioner Gurugram regularly. In the orders issued, instructions have also been given to the regional officers of the Pollution Control Board.
