Punjab: Vigilance arrested Aam Aadmi Party MLA Amit Ratan in bribery case

Chandigarh. A big news has come out from Punjab. Aam Aadmi Party MLA Amit Ratan Kotfatta from Bathinda Rural seat of Punjab has been arrested by the Vigilance Bureau in a bribery case.

A top official gave this information on Thursday. AAP MLA was arrested from Rajpura. Later the vigilance team went to Bathinda with the AAP MLA.The MLA’s arrest comes days after his alleged close aide Rashim Garg was arrested by the Punjab Vigilance Bureau in the same case. The AAP leader has been arrested after the MLA’s PA Rashim Garg was interrogated and the audio confirmed.

The official said that the MLA was detained from Rajpura on Wednesday evening and has now been arrested. The official further said that the AAP MLA will be produced in the court on Thursday to seek remand.

Rashim Garg was arrested on February 16 following a complaint lodged by the husband of the Pradhan of Ghuda village in Bathinda, alleging that the accused demanded a bribe of Rs 5 lakh in lieu of releasing a government grant of Rs 25 lakh. Had been. On the basis of the statements, an FIR was registered on February 16 against MLA Amit Ratan’s PA Rashim Garg.

Later, acting on the complaint, the Vigilance Bureau team in Bathinda caught Garg with Rs 4 lakh in cash. Earlier, MLA Amit Ratan had earlier denied any association with Garg. He accused the opposition parties of trying to defame the Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab.
