New Delhi: Along with India, the eyes of the whole world are focused on India’s moon mission Chandrayaan-3. Today is a very special day for Chandrayaan 3, because today itself our moon mission Chandrayaan-3 is going to knock on the threshold of the moon.
Today i.e. on Wednesday once again the orbit of Chandrayaan-3 will be reduced and this will be the last process of reducing the orbit. Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) is going to do this operation at 8:30 am today.
The objective of this critical process is to place both the propulsion and lander modules in a circular orbit of about 100 km around the Moon. The milestone marks the reaching of the next phase of the Chandrayaan-3 mission, which involves separation of the lander from the propulsion module.
While the propulsion module will continue its orbit around the Moon, the lander will undergo a ‘deboost’ process, which will involve a series of complex braking manoeuvres. These maneuvers are designed to gradually slow the lander down and carefully position it for a soft landing on the lunar surface.
Let us inform that earlier the class of the vehicle was reduced on Monday. After reaching the Moon’s orbit on August 5, Chandrayaan-3’s orbit was changed for the fourth time, before that the orbit was changed on August 6 and 9 as well.
