Chandrayaan-3 Mission: Chandrayaan-3 has successfully left the Earth’s orbit and now its next stop is the Moon. The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) said that Chandrayaan-3 was placed in the translunar orbit on Tuesday.
The National Space Agency said that ‘Chandrayaan-3 has completed its orbit around the Earth and is moving towards the Moon’. ISRO said that ‘a successful perigee-firing was done in ISTRAC. ISRO has placed Chandrayaan-3 in the translunar orbit.
Chandrayaan’s next stop is now the Moon. ISRO said that as soon as Chandrayaan-3 reaches the Moon, it is planned to be placed in the Moon’s orbit on 5 August.
After Tuesday’s trans-lunar injection, Chandrayaan-3 moved out of Earth’s orbit and is now on a path that will take it closer to the Moon. ISRO will try to soft land the lander on the lunar surface on 23 August.

The orbit-raising maneuver (Earth-bound perigee firing) is performed successfully from ISTRAC/ISRO, Bengaluru.
The spacecraft is expected to attain an orbit of 127609 km x 236 km. The achieved orbit will be confirmed after the observations.
