Naxal attack in Dantewada’s Aranpur, 11 soldiers martyred, targeted with IED

Raipur. At least 11 jawans have been killed in a blast by Naxalites in Dantewada, Chhattisgarh. There has been an IED attack on a vehicle carrying DRG personnel near Aranpur in Dantewada district. The Naxalites had planted the IED.

According to the official information received from the state police, ‘On April 26, DRG force was dispatched from Dantewada for anti-Naxal operation on information about the presence of Maoist cadre under Aranpur police station area of Dantewada district.

Those who were returning after the operation, during this IED blast by Maoists on Aranpur road, due to which 10 DRG jawans and 1 driver involved in the operation were martyred.

According to information, an encounter has also taken place between police and Naxalites in Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh. Along with this, the Maoists also blew up a pick-up vehicle of the jawans.

The news of some jawans getting injured is coming out. At present, there has been no official confirmation in this matter so far. It is being told that the jawans have suffered losses. The case pertains to Aranpur police station area of Dantewada district.

Reacting strongly to the incident, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has said that Naxalites will not be spared under any circumstances and Naxalism will be rooted out.

He said, ‘We have received this information and it is sad. I express my condolences to the families of the jawans who have been martyred. This fight is going on in the last phase and the Naxalites will not be spared at any cost. We will eliminate Naxalism in a planned manner.

Seeing the seriousness of the incident, Union Home Minister Amit Shah spoke to Chief Minister Baghel and promised all possible help from the Centre.
