Darbhanga. Police arrested the main accused Kazim Ansari on Wednesday in the murder case of Jeetan Sahni, father of VIP party supremo Mukesh Sahni. Darbhanga SSP Jagunath Reddy revealed the whole matter. Reddy told that Kazim Ansari had taken one lakh rupees from Jeetan Sahni in 2022. For the second time in 2023, he took 50 thousand rupees which was at the interest rate of four percent.
In lieu of giving money, the land papers were mortgaged with Jeetan Sahni. Before the murder, Kazim Ansari had requested to reduce the increasing interest but Jeetan Sahni did not reduce the interest. There was a dispute between the two regarding this. Kazim Ansari along with his other partner secretly entered Jeetan Sahni’s house at night. While taking the papers, there was a dispute with Jeetan Sahni, after which he stabbed him to death with a knife.
The search for other accused is still on. According to the SSP, ‘The accused had taken a loan of one and a half lakh in 3 installments from the deceased by mortgaging his land at 4% monthly interest rate. He was not able to pay the dues. On the night of the incident, at around 1.30 am, Kazim and his associates entered the house from the back door. The door does not have an inside lock. After entering, the accused woke up the deceased and threatened him and asked for the papers of his land and loan, but the deceased started abusing him.’
He further said, ‘Kazim got angry and started stabbing the deceased with a knife. The rest of the people held the deceased’s hands and feet. After the murder, the accused tried to find the key to the cupboard containing the papers so that they could take back their papers but the key was not found. On this, the accused decided to throw the cupboard in the water so that all the papers melt and get destroyed. All the people together threw the wooden cupboard in the small pond located behind the house and fled from there.’

Meanwhile, former minister Mukesh Sahni seems satisfied with the police investigation so far. He said that the police is working in action mode. We want that no innocent person should be caught in haste. Whoever is guilty should be given severe punishment. Sahni said that he had never imagined that his father would be murdered in this manner in the village. His father wanted to stay in the village, that is why he lived here. There was no problem of any kind. He loved the village.
