Uttarakhand: 15 people including 4 policemen died due to electrocution in Chamoli

Chamoli. An increased news has come out from Uttarakhand. In Uttarakhand’s Chamoli town, 15 people have died due to a blast in a transformer near the sewer treatment plant.

This incident has been confirmed by Chamoli SP Parmendra Doval. This incident took place near Alaknanda river in Chamoli town. It is being told that first there was a blast in the transformer and then people got caught in it.

Relief and rescue have been started on the spot. State ADGP V Murugesan told that work is going on on a project. 15 people have died due to electrocution here. One police sub-inspector and 3 home guard personnel are also included in the dead.

An inquiry has been ordered into the incident. SP Parmendra Doval told that there was a blast in the transformer on the banks of the Alakandan river. The injured have been sent to the district hospital. On the other hand, people have accused the Energy Corporation of negligence and demanded action.

Health Minister Dhan Singh has also left for the incident site in Chamoli. He has ordered a judicial inquiry. The Health Minister told that the injured will be brought to Sri Nagar Hospital by helicopter. Relief work is going on in the incident.
