In the accident, the heavy iron used to support the roof has fallen on many private vehicles and taxis standing outside the terminal.So far eight to nine people have been injured and one person has died in the accident.
All the three injured have been admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment. At the same time, CISF, Delhi Police and fire department personnel are engaged in relief and rescue efforts at the spot.According to the fire department, this accident happened at Terminal One of IGI Airport at around 5.30 am on Friday.
At around 5.30 am, information was received about the roof of Terminal One of Delhi Airport collapsing, after which four fire tenders of the fire department were dispatched for relief and rescue.The injured have been admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment. At the same time, the fire department and all the security agencies are engaged in the exercise of evacuating the people trapped in the vehicles.
At the same time, Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu has said regarding this accident that he is personally monitoring the incident of roof collapse at T-One of Delhi Airport. Rescue teams are working at the spot. Also, airlines have been advised to help all the affected passengers at T-One. All the injured have been taken to the hospital.
