New Delhi. Ashram flyover in Delhi will be opened for public from Monday. The Ashram flyover will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal at 11 am. ₹ 128.25 crore has been spent on the project. The flyover will ensure a signal-free traffic and cut travel time between Delhi and Noida by 25 minutes.

Meanwhile, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has denied allegations that the delay in opening the road was linked to the arrest of his former deputy Manish Sisodia. Earlier the flyover was to be inaugurated on February 28, but later the inauguration program was cancelled.

Significantly, in February, Sisodia had conducted an on-site inspection to assess the progress of the work. After the arrest of Manish Sisodia, now Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will inaugurate the flyover extension in the presence of newly appointed PWD Minister Kailash Gehlot.

After the inauguration of Ashram flyover, people will get a lot of relief from the problem of traffic jam for the last two months. The expansion work to connect Ashram flyover with DND flyway is going on since January 1.

Vehicles going to South Delhi from Noida and Ghaziabad are currently forced to deal with congestion while traveling from DND Loop to Ashram Square. However with the inauguration of the new flyover, commuters will be able to bypass three traffic lights between Ashram Chowk and DND.
