Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached the party headquarters for the felicitation program organized by BJP Mahila Morcha. The women workers present in the office welcomed PM Modi by showering flowers on him.
Actually, this program has been organized after the women’s reservation bill was passed by both the houses. There is a celebratory atmosphere in the party office.
Many senior ministers and leaders including PM Modi, former JP Nadda, Union Minister Smriti Irani, Union Minister Nirmala Sitaran reached the party office.
Party’s national president JP Nadda reached the national office on Thursday and along with other senior party leaders, himself took stock of the preparations for the welcome ceremony of PM Modi to be held today.
Let us tell you that last Thursday the Women’s Reservation Bill was also passed in the Rajya Sabha. After this, the bill will now go to President Draupadi Murmu. This bill will take the form of law as soon as the President signs it.
However, before implementing this, population census will be done and then delimitation will be implemented. After this it will be implemented. While presenting this bill in the Lok Sabha, Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal had said that with its implementation the number of women MPs in the Lok Sabha will increase to 181.
