New Delhi: Rajya Sabha member Hardwar Dubey passed away at Fortis Hospital in Delhi in the early hours. He was admitted to the hospital late night at his residence in Delhi after his health deteriorated. He will be brought to Agra by afternoon.
Son Pranshu Dubey told that he was absolutely fine on Sunday. He was admitted to Fortis Hospital on the complaint of sudden heart pain. There the breath stopped after some time. Former two-time MLA from Cantonment and former Minister of State Haridwar Dubey became a Rajya Sabha member in 2020. He was the Minister of State for Finance in the Kalyan Singh government. There have been district pracharaks of RSS in Sitapur, Ayodhya and Shahjahanpur.
Originally a resident of Ballia, Hardwar Dubey has been doing politics in Agra for a long time. In the year 1969, he came to Agra as the organization minister of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad. Since then he remained active in politics here.
In 1983, he became the minister of the metropolitan unit. After this, the metropolitan became the president. In 1989, he contested and won the election for the first time from the cantonment. After this, won in 1991 as well.
He was made the Minister of State for Institutional Finance. In 2005, he contested the by-elections from Kheragarh assembly, in which he had to face defeat. State spokesperson in the year 2011 and State Vice President in 2013.
Hardwar Dubey is survived by son Pranshu Dubey, daughter-in-law Urvashi, daughter Dr. Kritya Dubey, son-in-law Dr. Shivam and grandson Divyansh, granddaughter Divyanshi. His brother Gama Dubey is also a senior BJP leader.
