He said, “We reviewed the situation. We have advised hospitals to test symptomatic patients for coronavirus. People coming to the hospital have been requested to wear masks. The minister said the health department will inform Kejriwal about the situation on Friday after which he will issue guidelines to the government.

He said, “The Chief Minister will be informed about the situation of covid-19 in other states and how they are dealing with the increase in cases.” And so far nothing alarming has been found. According to data shared by Delhi’s Health Ministry, the number of covid-19 cases in the national capital rose to 300 for the first time since August 31 last year, while the infection rate rose to 13.89 percent.

There are also reports of death of two patients due to covid-19 on Wednesday. Sharing this information, the health minister said that the patients who died of infection were elderly and suffering from serious diseases and the primary cause of death was not the corona virus. Delhi had 377 cases of covid-19 on August 31 and two deaths while the infection rate was 2.58 percent. Amid the rapid rise in H3N2 influenza cases in the country, the national capital has been witnessing an increase in daily cases for the past few days.
