Election Commission announces Lok Sabha election dates, see full list

New Delhi. The Election Commission on Saturday announced the dates of Lok Sabha elections 2024. This time, voting will be held in seven phases in the general elections between April 19 and June 1 and with the counting of votes on June 4, the election results will also become clear.

While announcing the dates of Lok Sabha elections, Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar said in a press conference on Saturday that assembly elections will be held in Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim on April 19 and Andhra Pradesh on May 13.

Apart from this, Odisha Assembly elections will be held in four phases on 13 May, 20 May, 25 May and 1 June.Rajiv Kumar said in a press conference along with two new election commissioners Gyanesh Kumar and Sukhbir Singh Sandhu that by-elections will also be held for 26 assembly constituencies.

He told that voting will be held in all seven phases in Bihar, West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh.More than 15 crore voters of Uttar Pradesh will exercise their franchise in 7 phases in the Lok Sabha elections. Here, in the first phase of Lok Sabha elections, voting will be held on April 19 on eight parliamentary seats of the state, Saharanpur, Kairana, Muzaffarnagar, Bijnor, Nagina (reserved for Scheduled Caste (SC), Moradabad, Rampur and Pilibhit).

Under the second phase, voting will be held on April 26 in eight parliamentary constituencies Amroha, Meerut, Baghpat, Ghaziabad, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Bulandshahr (SC), Aligarh and Mathura.

In the third phase, voting will be held on Sambhal, Hathras (SC), Agra (SC), Fatehpur Sikri, Firozabad, Mainpuri, Etah, Badaun, Amla and Bareilly on May 7.

Under the fourth phase, on May 13, 13 Lok Sabha seats Shahjahanpur (SC), Kheri, Dhaurahara, Sitapur, Hardoi (SC), Misrikh (SC), Unnao, Farrukhabad, Etawah (SC), Kannauj, Kanpur, Akbarpur and Bahraich (SC) There will be voting.

Apart from Lucknow, under the fifth phase, the 13 other Lok Sabha seats where voting will take place on May 20 include Mohanlalganj (SC), Rae Bareli, Amethi, Jalaun (SC), Jhansi, Hamirpur, Banda, Fatehpur, Kaushambi (SC), Barabanki (SC). ), Faizabad, Kaiserganj and Gonda constituencies.

Under the sixth phase, on May 25, people will exercise their franchise on 14 Lok Sabha seats like Sultanpur, Pratapgarh, Phulpur, Allahabad, Ambedkarnagar, Shravasti, Dumariaganj, Basti, Sant Kabir Nagar, Lalganj (SC), Azamgarh, Jaunpur, Machhilshahr and Bhadohi. .

In the seventh and final phase, voting will be held on June 1 in Maharajganj, Gorakhpur, Kushinagar, Deoria, Bansgaon (SC), Ghosi, Salempur, Ballia, Ghazipur, Chandauli, Varanasi, Mirzapur and Robertsganj (AC) seats.
