Earthquake: 5 magnitude earthquake in Andaman-Nicobar Islands

Andaman And Nicobar. The National Center for Seismology said that an earthquake measuring 5.0 on the Richter scale occurred in the Nicobar Islands at around 5:40 am on Wednesday.Its depth was recorded at 10 km. No information about any damage has been revealed so far. Awaiting more details.

Last Saturday too, there was a strong earthquake in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands late night. According to the German Research Center for Geosciences, the intensity of the earthquake has been measured at 5.8 on the Richter scale.

The GFZ said that the epicenter of the earthquake was at a depth of 10 km. There was a strong earthquake with a magnitude of 5.8 in the Andaman-Nicobar Islands at around 12.53 pm.

Earthquake tremors were felt at a distance of 126 km to the south-east of Port Blair. According to the National Center for Seismology, this earthquake occurred at a depth of 69 km.
