Earthquake tremors felt in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district

Srinagar. Earthquake tremors with a magnitude of 3.6 were felt in Rajouri at around 3.49 am today. There is no information about any casualty regarding the earthquake so far.

The National Center for Seismology has informed about this. Let us tell you that on late Wednesday night, earthquake tremors of 1.5 magnitude were felt in Noida, adjacent to Delhi.

The National Earthquake Center (NCS) gave this information. According to the NCS website, the earthquake occurred at 8.57 pm at a depth of 6 km.

Whose center was in Sector-128 area of Noida. Actually, a 1.5 magnitude shock is rarely felt on the surface. Apart from this, NCS told that earlier on Wednesday at around 6 pm, an earthquake of 2.9 magnitude occurred in Pauri Garhwal region of Uttarakhand.

On the other hand, a tremor of 3.4 magnitude was recorded in Kolhapur, Maharashtra on Wednesday morning. There are a total of seven plates inside the earth and these plates keep moving. Where plates collide with each other are called fault zones.

When plates collide, energy tries to escape. The movement caused by this becomes an earthquake. The closer the epicenter of an earthquake is to the surface, the greater the devastation. Although its area decreases.
