Early-morning Earthquake Rocks Karnataka, know what was the intensity

Bengaluru:In the early hours of today, Karnataka experienced substantial tremors caused by a powerful earthquake. The National Center for Seismology has reported that the epicenter of the earthquake was located in the Vijayapura district of Karnataka, registering an intensity of 3.1. As of now, there is no information available regarding any loss of life or damage to property resulting from the seismic activity.

According to the National Center for Seismology, the earthquake occurred at 6:52 am, and its epicenter was situated at a depth of 10 kilometers below the Earth’s surface.Earlier on November 20 also, earthquake tremors were felt in Karnataka. The epicenter of the earthquake in Karnataka was 255 kilometers from Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana and 265 kilometers from Nagpur.

Apart from Karnataka, earthquake tremors were felt in Telangana and Maharashtra on this day. On Sunday, i.e. on the evening of 19 November, earthquake tremors were also felt in the Arabian Sea. According to NCS, the earthquake occurred in the Arabian Sea on November 19 at 6.36 pm. Whose intensity was measured at 4.5 on the Richter scale.
