New Delhi. Along with the sighting of the moon of Eid-ul-Fitr on Friday evening, Eid is being celebrated with pomp across the country today. All the Ulemas had made an announcement in this regard on Friday itself.
Mufti Mukarram Ahmed, Shahi Imam of Delhi’s Fatehpuri Masjid, said, “On Friday evening, the moon of Eid was generally sighted at many places including Delhi-NCR, many cities of Haryana, Bihar, Rajasthan and Assam.”
Please tell that on Friday Shawwal was visible to the crescent moon. Due to this, today Eid is being celebrated all over the country. This moon is believed to mark the end of the fasting month of Ramadan.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday congratulated Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr. According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office here, Modi wished peace, harmony, health and happiness to people across the world on the occasion.

President Draupadi Murmu on Friday greeted people on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr and urged everyone to take a pledge to promote brotherhood and harmony in the society on this occasion.
