New Delhi. The Central Election Commission will hold a press conference at Akashvani Bhawan today at 12 noon. It is reported that during this period the Commission will announce the dates of assembly elections to be held in 5 states including Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan.
Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar will hold a press conference today afternoon to announce the election schedule for Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Telangana and Mizoram.
Details of the dates of the various phases will be given in the announcement. Last Friday, the Election Commission held a meeting of observers and asked them to ensure that the menace of money power is completely controlled.
The meeting was attended by general, police and expenditure observers for the assembly elections in Mizoram, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Telangana.
