Noida: Both cobra snakes recovered from a village in Faridabad on the behest of Rahul, accused in the case of supplying snake venom in ‘rave parties’ in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, were released in the forests of Surajpur on Monday.
Forest Department officials gave this information. According to officials, the Forest Department had filed an application in this matter in a local court, after which it was approved, the snakes were released into the forest. Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) P.K. . Srivastava confirmed this and said that a five-member committee was formed to release the snakes into their natural habitat.
He told that the committee included Wildlife Warden and Investigation Officer Saloni, Sub-regional Forest Officer Kshetrapal Singh, Forest Inspector Luv Kaushik, Rakesh Kumar and Ram Avtar.DFO PK Srivastava said that after the court order, videography of releasing the snakes in the forest was also done.
Forest department officials claim that the poison of the snakes had already been removed. Both snakes were found healthy in medical examination. However, their venom gland was found missing. Both snakes were not poisonous.
