Maharashtra: There has been a big explosion in a company in Nagpur, in which 9 people have died so far. There has been an explosion in a solar explosive company in Nagpur district, in which at least 9 people have died. Whereas, many people are said to be injured.
Giving information, police said that the blast occurred during packing in the cast booster plant of Solar Explosive Company. The dead include 6 men and 3 women. The number of deaths in the accident may also increase.
As soon as the information about the accident was received, the police reached the spot of the blast and relief and rescue work is going on. Police said that the people injured in the blast have been taken to the hospital, who are undergoing treatment. The condition of many of the injured is said to be critical.
Police are investigating the matter and trying to find out what caused the blast. Nagpur Rural SP Harsh Poddar said that the explosion occurred during packing in the cast booster plant of Solar Explosive Company in Bazargaon village of Nagpur. Nine people died in the blast.
Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has announced ex-gratia for the families of those killed in the blast. The families of those who died will be given a compensation of Rs 5 lakh each.
