Ambala. The Rail Roko campaign of farmers continues for the third consecutive day demanding the release of farmers arrested by Haryana Police. Due to closure of railway tracks, Ambala Railway Board has canceled 139 trains and changed the routes of 170 trains. If railway officials are to be believed, a total of 382 trains have been affected by this movement.
If the farmers also stop the Chandigarh Railway Line, then all the trains may get cancelled. Essential services will also be affected in this.In fact, the farmers had blocked the railway track near Shambhu border demanding the release of the jailed farmers. Today is the third day of farmers sitting on the tracks and on the third day, 139 trains have been canceled from Ambala Railway Division.
The general public is bearing the brunt of this. There is a crowd of passengers at the station. Ambala Division Senior DCM Naveen Yadav says that so far 139 trains have been canceled from Ambala Railway Division. Many trains had to be canceled midway.
The routes of 170 trains have been changed by the Railways. Railways says that if the agitation continues for a long time, there will be problem in oil supply in Jammu and Kashmir. Keeping in mind the convenience of the passengers, Railways has also created help desks. He said that currently the train is going from Chandigarh towards Jammu via Ludhiana
