Patna. Special status for Bihar has been a big political issue. Especially Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has often been raising his voice regarding this on various forums. But, till now no concrete assurance has been received from the Central Government regarding this.

Now on the special status given to Bihar, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman herself has responded to this and has told what is the hindrance in giving special status to Bihar.In a press conference at BJP’s media center in Patna, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that a recommendation should come in the Central Finance Commission report for special status, only then further discussion can be done about it.

There was a recommendation to reduce taxes in the Central Finance Commission report, after which central taxes have been reduced in three different slabs. On economic assistance and special assistance to Bihar, Nirmala Sitharaman said that in 2015 a package was announced for Bihar and a package of Rs 1.25 lakh crore was given. This package was given for all areas.

Let us tell you that Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, who reached Patna on Tuesday, said during a press conference at the BJP office here that the first time voters in Bihar need to be told about the damage caused by the jungle raj here. Due to Jungle Raj during the reign of Lalu-Rabri, the per capita income in Bihar had increased to 14,209, whereas at present the per capita income is 37,000.
