The first FIR was registered in the country under the new criminal law

New Delhi: Three new criminal laws have come into force in the country from today i.e. July 1. The first FIR has been registered in the country under the three new criminal laws. This FIR has been registered under the Indian Penal Code at Kamala Market Police Station in Delhi.

This case has been registered under Section 285 of the Indian Penal Code against a street vendor for creating obstruction and selling goods under the foot over bridge of New Delhi Railway Station.
