Mumbai: There was a stir in Mumbai, the capital of Maharashtra, when a painful accident occurred due to falling of hoarding in Ghatkopar and many people died. A 100-foot tall illegal advertisement hoarding collapsed on a petrol pump during a dust storm and rain in Mumbai’s Ghatkopar area, taking the death toll to 14, while more than 70 were injured.
BMC said that the death toll in the Ghatkopar hoarding accident has reached 14. Treatment of 43 injured is still going on, while 31 injured have been discharged.President Draupadi Murmu expressed grief over the deaths of people due to falling hoardings. He wrote on the social media platform ‘X’, ‘The news of many casualties due to falling of hoardings in Ghatkopar area of Mumbai is extremely sad.

Owner Bhavesh Bhinde and others have been booked under Indian Penal Code sections 304 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder), 338 (causing grievous hurt by endangering the life or personal safety of others) and 337 (causing hurt to another person by rash or negligent act) A case has been registered under.
