Gorakhpur. Sanchit Srivastava, daughter of famous psychiatrist of Gorakhpur, UP, Dr. Ram Sharan Srivastava, committed suicide by jumping from the roof. Actually, just two days ago, Sanchit’s husband had committed suicide by hanging himself in a hotel in Varanasi. On getting the information, Sanchit went into depression.
She took this suicidal step due to depression. After getting the information, the Cantt police reached the spot, took the body in custody and sent it for post-mortem. The reason for the suicide is said to be family discord. Dr. Ram Sharan Srivastava’s residence is on Civil Line Park Road in Gorakhpur. His daughter Sanchit had come to her maternal home a few days ago. Last Saturday night, her husband Harish committed suicide after getting hurt by something.
Harish, a resident of Patna, committed suicide by hanging himself in a hotel in Sarnath, Varanasi. On getting the information, Dr. Ram Sharan Srivastava was preparing to go to Varanasi, meanwhile his daughter Sanchit committed suicide by jumping from the roof. At present, the police is avoiding saying anything in this matter.
According to the information, Sanchit had a love marriage with Harish two years ago. After doing MBA, Harish used to work in a private bank in Mumbai. Meanwhile, when Sanchit’s health deteriorated, he came to his in-laws’ house in Gorakhpur and was living here for the last 6 months.
On July 6, Harish left Gorakhpur saying that he was going to the village. After this, he committed suicide by hanging himself in a hotel in Sarnath. On getting the news of Harish’s suicide, Sanchit jumped from the second floor and died.
