Surat: A big news has come out from Surat. Seven operatives of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and Sampat Nehra gang have been arrested. This arrest is a big success for the officers of Surat Crime Branch. All these criminals were hiding in Surat by hiding their identity. All these accused were living in Shashwatnagar of Piplod area of Surat with a driver hiding their identity. All of them were looking for a new place to escape from the gang war in Dausa, Rajasthan.
Surat police got specific information about the suspicious activities of the accused, after which they were arrested. During interrogation, the gang members revealed their identity. Those arrested include Devendra Shekhawat, Praveen Singh Rathod, Kishan Singh alias Krishna Singh Rathod, Pritipal Singh Tawar, Mohit Yadav, Ajay Singh Bhati and Rakesh Sen. The gang members had rented a house in Piplod area, where all of them were staying for the last few weeks.
A police officer said that all of them had switched off their phones to avoid being tracked. Shekhawat is the leader of the group while Rathod is a dismissed cop. As a constable in the Rajasthan Police, Rathore helped members of the Bishnoi and Nehra gangs several times, providing them shelter and helping them escape before police operations.
There was a gang war between the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and the Sampat Nehra gang over the liquor business. Lawrence gang leader Devendra Shekhawat trades liquor illegally in Shekhawati area. Since 2010, Bishnoi and Sampat Nehra gangs are ruling this area. In this gang war, a person named Ajay Poonia was murdered. Many people including Devendra Shekhawat were arrested in this crime.
