Gyanvapi case:In a pivotal development in the Gyanvapi case, the legal representative for the Hindu side, Madhavi Divan, advocated for the cleansing of the purported Shivalinga tank. In response, the Muslim side expressed no objection to this proposal.
The Supreme Court has rendered a significant verdict, granting permission for the cleaning of the tank located within the sealed premises of Gyanvapi. Emphasizing the need for oversight, the apex court directed that the cleaning process be conducted under the supervision of the Varanasi District Magistrate.
The Supreme Court has ordered to clean the alleged Shivalinga tank located in the sealed area. On the orders of the Supreme Court, the cleaning will be done under the supervision of District Magistrate Varanasi. The Supreme Court said that the District Magistrate should keep in mind the previous order of the court while cleaning the tank.
The Supreme Court had said in its old order that Shivling should be kept safe and nothing should be tampered with.
