Haldwani. The Municipal Corporation team that had come to demolish the Madrasa built on government land in Malik Ka Bagicha area of local Banbhulpura was attacked by land mafia people. Here mischievous elements pelted stones at the police force.
10 days ago the corporation freed the government land from the land mafia. After this incident, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami has called a high level meeting. Many officers including Chief Secretary, DGP are present in this meeting.
CM Pushkar Singh Dhami said that maintaining peace and order is our priority. There will be an investigation in the matter and action will be taken against the culprits. Actually, when the Municipal Corporation team had reached Banbhulpura area to demolish an illegal madrasa, it was attacked by some people.
Stones were also pelted at the police present here and the unruly elements surrounded the Banbhulpura police station from all sides. These people set police vehicles on fire and vandalized them severely. Many police personnel were injured in this attack.
