New Delhi. The sports department of Haryana has suspended the women’s athletic coach. The coach has lodged an FIR against Sandeep Singh, former sports minister and former captain of the Indian hockey team, for molesting him.
After registering the FIR in December 2022, Koch had also repeated his allegations repeatedly. The reasons for suspending the women’s coach have not been told yet. But Koch says it is because she is refusing to make any compromises.
Yashendra Singh, director of the sports department, issued an order on 11 August. It has been said that the District Sports Officer and Junior Athletic Coach of Panchkula have been suspended with immediate effect.
According to the women’s coach, despite being in office that day, the order of suspension was handed over to her at her residence on Monday evening. The women’s coach told that I have been suspended.
I am being pressurized to compromise and withdraw the case. I have not been informed about the reasons for my suspension. I don’t know why he has taken this step. This is another way for the government to put pressure on me, but I am not going to bow down.
Sandeep Singh dismissed the allegations leveled against him as false. On the other hand, the Haryana government said that the investigation is going on. Mere registration of FIR does not prove that the accused is guilty.
