Hazaribagh. Sharad Kumar, deputy GM of Badkagaon Chatti Bariatu Coal Mines in Hazaribagh district of Jharkhand, has been shot dead by criminals. Deputy GM was shot dead by bike-borne criminals near IDBI Bank, Barkagaon.
He was going from Hazaribagh to Keredari Chatti Bariatu Coal Mines in a Scorpio car. During this, four criminals riding on two motorcycles chased the Scorpio and started firing rapidly near Barkagaon Barwadih.
In this attack, the bodyguard of Deputy GM Sharad Kumar was shot in the stomach. After firing, the Scorpio driver drove the vehicle at high speed and entered NTPC’s Barkagaon office, but the criminals followed the Scorpio till IDBI Bank, then fled towards Hazaribagh.
Deputy GM died on the spot due to bullet injury. At the same time, the injured bodyguard has been taken to Hazaribagh for treatment. Police has reached the spot on the information of the incident. Superintendent of Police (SP) Manoj Ratan Chauthe reached the hospital to inquire about the condition of the injured bodyguard.
The bullet fired by the criminals came out touching the stomach of the bodyguard. At the same time, the driver who was driving the Deputy GM’s car told that the officer sitting in Scorpios was shot after chasing him on a motorcycle. After the attack, he drove the vehicle at high speed and entered the NTPC office.
